Collection includes two lantern slide projectors from around 1890. The design was developed by T.H. McAllister and patented in 1886 and 1887, and was marketed under the name "New York Model Magic Lantern". The projectors are complete with wick lamps, chimneys, oil boxes, lenses, and accompanying slides.
